Your Questions Answered

  • How do Stewart Boots relieve foot pain?

Most foot pain stems from ill-fitting shoes that allow the foot to slide, causing micro-adjustments that lead to fatigue. We eliminate this by crafting a bespoke "hug" around your instep and heel. By stabilizing your gait, we help alleviate pain from many conditions.

  • I have a unique foot condition; can you help?

Yes. Our process is fully bespoke, meaning we build the boot around your specific anatomy. We frequently accommodate different conditions. If you have a specific concern that is not listed on our website, we can engineer a custom solution precisely for you.

  • What is the Stewart Boot process?

First we meticulously measure your feet and together we deign the look of your dream boot. From there we start building the form that your boot gets built around, including building the sole. We order the leather and design the pattern onto it by hand. Once the sole is built the leather can be attached. We make the heel that also gets attached. We ensure the boot is stable and doesn't rock, as that is an ill-built heel. Then your made to meaure boot is complete.

  • How long does the process take?

A fitting appointment takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once your measurements are captured and your design is finalized, it takes about 50 hours of hand-craftsmanship to complete your pair.

  • What materials are used in a Stewart Boot?

We use 100% American-tanned leather. While market-standard boots use thin 2oz leather and paper liners, we use 5.5–6.5oz leather with a 6oz leather liner. Our 7-layer sole construction provides a "walking on clouds" feel and is built to last decades, not seasons.

  • Can I customize the design of my boots?

Yes, every pair is handmade by skilled bootmakers using vintage tools. You can choose custom designs that reflect your style while benefiting from expert craftsmanship focused on comfort.

  • How much do custom boots cost?

Our custom boots start at $3,450. This reflects the 50+ hours of labor, premium heavy-weight leathers, and the medical-grade engineering required to solve your specific foot challenges. Many of our clients consider this a long-term investment in their mobility and well-being.

  • Can my Stewart Boots be resoled or repaired?

Absolutely. Unlike mass-produced footwear designed for the landfill, Stewart Boots are built to last a lifetime. Our 7-layer sole construction is fully "serviceable," meaning we can resole, reheel, and refurbish your boots for decades to come.
