Alignment & Gait Issues

  • If you wear out the outside portion of your heel, this will cause alignment issues.  Causing knee, hip, or lower back pain.   This is common with physically active people.  Due to muscle development on the outside portion of your foot. (Abductor digiti minimi).   We have developed a proprietary remedy for this.
  • If you are a fast walker you need a heel that accomodates your walking speed and gait.  We at Stewart Boot consinder this when building your heels.

Leg length differences must be accounted for correctly.  Corrective shoe manufactures will simply make one solid piece of a attached sole.  This restricts foot movement.  We accomidate fluid foot movement by reducing the middle to a reasonable thinness and shape to allow the foot to bend.  We also create toe spring.  This is the gap from the tip of your boot or shoe to the ground.  This is in most Stewart Boots and in high end footwear, this helps propel forward walking motion.

To eliminate back pain one cannot accomindate leg differences all at once.  This must be done in increments to allow the body to adjust.
